I recently purchased an RME Fireface UC to use with Logic 9.1.4. While the audio has given me no problems whatever, I'm experiencing stuck midi notes. I played a dummy piano part in which all notes are short in duration (see attachment). However, when I push stop on the Transport, one or two notes will often then "grow" to meet the next instance of that note. It's irritating, especially given that my cheapo Edirol UM-1 midi interface has never given me a moment's trouble.
I'm using a Yamaha S08 as a controller for Logic's VIs. I doubt the keyboard is the problem, though, since I've never had difficulties in the past and, again, there are no problems with the Edirol interface.
I know: "If it works just use the Edirol!" True, but this expensive box should be able to handle midi data, no?
I saw a suggestion somewhere to turn off "chase notes," but that had no effect.
So does anyone know why these notes "grow" after I hit stop?
