Routing Plug In, Does It Exist

Hi everyone
I'm considering buying the Behringer P16 personal headset mixing system which seem to be quite a bit more interesting than almost anything else that company have come up with over the last 2 decades.
Does anybody know of a plugin that can route to two separate outputs at once. Like the I/O plugin but where it keeps the original output and then just adds the other output.
I know that I can do this with the sends but it would be much faster to use a plugin instead of having to create 16 sends. The idea is to save time and not having to guess how high the drummer wants the click to be.

Hmm I think this is down to the flexibility of your interface. The only other solution I can think of is creating 2+ auxes routed from the same bus so would need a send, but only one!
 
No the idea is to send all tracks to the headphone mixer (maybe the drums in a premix) and let the clients set up their own mix.
A common scenario here would be kick, snare, kit (stereo), bass, guitar 1, guitar 2, keys 1, keys 2, vocal 1, vocal 2, vocal 3. That's a bit ambitious maybe but not far from an average session here but it is not 1 but 11 auxes but of course only one per channel.
What I'm looking for is some kind of splitter plugin. My sound card, the Raydat, has 32 outs so that's not a problem.
I am already making individual headphone mixes through Logic but I find it very time-consuming to set up these levels because it is, and have always been, based on guessing. These new systems deal with that and they don't cost a fortune either.

Hi what I was meaning re:sound card was that the mixer on my MIOs allows me to mult one DAW output to several physical outputs. If I'm having *that* kind of session I'll route stems out of logic and sort FBs with the MIO mixer, much as the behringer would, although in that case you'd just route to physical outputs and let the artist choose the levels

I don't think that the RME mixer is capable of that. I suppose having to set up the axes is not that big a deal.

You have Totalmix, which is a perfect splitter. My Fireface is currently broken, so I can't check this in detail, but I am pretty sure that Totalmix can do it. Any channel of the upper row (inputs) and middle row (DAW) can be routed to any channel in the lower row (outputs).

Best is to work in submix mode as usual. Click on an output pair in the lower row, then move up the fader of each DAW channel (middle row) you want to route to this output. If you route an input in the same manner, you can send incoming signals back to the musician. For monitoring you may need to set the pan in the source channels according to your needs.

Of course, splitting and mixing is only possible if you have signals in the middle row (DAW). But with your number of available channels this shouldn't be a problem. You can even mix your drums easily to one output pair of Totalmix without any routing in Logic.

Don't forget to save your Totalmix configurations as presets.
 
Btw, you originally asked for a routing plugin. Blue Cat Audio has a plugin called Remote Control that comes in different sizes. Needs some fiddling to get it working in Logic. You could make a fixed routing and control output faders by Remote Control with some additional Environment work. But - honestly - in this case I don't think it is worth the effort.
