Logic Pro 9 Sample replace at transients?

Hey

Other than using sound replacer... is there a way to drop a sample at any transient that I choose?

For ex: I would like to take a solid snare(top and bottom) hit in a drum session and replace all of the other less convincing backbeats. In PT you can do this. I saw a nearest transient feature in the right click window.. but didn't quite figure it out what it did. Anyway, if so is there a default quick key as well?

I am in 9.1.1

No automatic snapping method... There is when editing transients. You can drag up into other tracks to snap to the transients that exist there. But nothing related to region positions.
