Logic Pro Scoring a Hihat

HKC

Logician
Hi
I have a problem with making a hihat look right in score. The scenario could be that the hihat changes between the standard closed F#1 and the pedal G#1. F#1 plays on 1-2-3-4 and G#1 on the eights in between.
When I choose the #drums setting in staff styles I can only see the the F#1. How do I make the G#1 ones visible. The are clearly there, I can see then in all other staff styles and hear them as well.
I can't find any clear description of this in the manual and I rarely use score.

I have worked it out. I could have sworn that I had already tried the "Mapped instrument" thing in environment but apparently not 🙂

In drum notation, open and closed hihats are usually notated at the same position on the staff. And are differentiated by using little X's and O's above the note heads to distinguish the articulations.

But this is a closed HH the is only played by foot. A friend of mine told me that it has it's own note. I don't know anything about these things so he could be wrong for all I know but he is a classically educated percussionist.

Yes, you're right. A hi hat played with the foot is notated differently than hi hat notes played with a stick.

The open and closed stick hits are notated on the same note, differentiated with x and o marks on top. But a closed hi hat played with the foot is notated at a different location on the staff. Usually near the bottom near the kik drum hits. Whereas stick hi hats are at the top of the staff.
