Logic Pro 9 Scoring: Newbie Score Question

I have 2 friends... aren't I lucky?
One plays keys, one plays bass
The keyboard guy printed out his scores for the bass player but they're all about 4 pages each.
The Bass player says "I don't need all that, and I can't work with it on stage"
Just give me a "one sheet"
The piano player asked me how to do that and I would guess he has to go in and just edit the score in logic ...
But if he does that he'll have to be editing the song right?
How do you set up repeats and stuff and only print the bass line?
I suppose thats my question.
Theres no command that will analyze the song and present a simplified version of the score for you is there?

Well, a track will certainly need to be edited. Duplicate the original and edit that if you want the performance track preserved.

You could copy and paste the bass line in a new track. You need to have the track reflect the linear look of the sheet music. So it might go verse, 1st ending, 2nd ending, chorus.

FWIW, I'm a guitar player, did a lot of shows and turning pages sucks - you have to stop playing to do so. The work around is to set two music stands together for for pages. Might suggest that to your bass player friend.

It's a drag that repeat sections don't work in real time, I have requested that many times.

You just have to create another project for your score parts in this case - edit it and add the repeat 1st x bar markings as needed.

Or get a bigger music stand!
