Logic Pro Selecting midi notes by position

I have a track with continuous eighths notes all quantized to the same velocity, so it sounds pretty dead. I want to accent only the downbeats with a little more volume, and leave the offbeats as they are. Is it possible to select the notes on the downbeats with the transform window or another option? Thanks!

In the score, select the first note in question.
Go to "Edit" in the local editor menu.
Go down to "Select>" and execute "Same subposition".
