Hi Guys, I hope this is the correct subforum. Didn't really fit into "Legacy"...
I'm currently working with Logic 5 for PC, but since I own Mac I'm thinking about to switch. However, there are a few functions I miss with Logic 8 and still seemed to work with Logic 7.
1.) I have a few hardware synth controlled by midi. In Logic 5 to send the program patches I simply selected the first midi track in the arrange window and held down the cursor down key. THen all synths (they are arranged as multi-instrumetns) got a program change message. This doesn't work anymore with Logic 8. Is there a way to have this feature again? I hate messing around with small blocks containing the program change settings.
And 2.) as usual in Trance music I have a few channels sidechained. I route them onto a bus with a compressor insert. THen I have a send way from the kick onto a second bus, where I cut the lows to keep the attack only as a trigger signal. This bus is the sidechain signal for the first bus' compressor. In Logic 8 the inserted EQ on the second bus doesn't affect the sidechain signal of Bus 1 compressor. Is there a way to change it, like it worked in Logic 5?
Thanks for answers.
