Logic Pro 9 Tab

have a 4 measure midi recording on a single treble stave that shows in the arrange area and in the notation area; trying to get it to display in tablature; have done everything it says to do on page 820 of the manual, no go;
how do I get tab to display??

You mean, if you are in the score, none of this three settins give you the tabulature?

Works well here:

(Don't try to sing it, I just typed randomly on the Caps Lock Keyboard )
