Logic Pro 8 upgrading

Hi guys, It's now time to upgrade. I am currently using express 8 and want to go to the full version of 8. NOT 9 cause I don't want to upgrade to Snow
Leopard. I am using 10.4 and don't have any reason to change. can anybody give me the correct # of the product to buy. Is it MA801Z/A?

Hence the reason for my post. I don't think I can buy the upgrade from apple. Soooo I have to get it elsewhere. Like ebay. And I'm not sure I understand your statement. "8 was made for Leopard". I'm using Express 8 with 10.4 and I think I purchased 8 before Leopard was released.??? I want the full version but have no need for the new features of 9. I don't want to spend the money to upgrade the operating system as well.

I think the only place you'll find a full version of Logic 8 is on eBay.

Of course, if you're going the eBay route, you might want to consider buying Mac OSX 10.5 on eBay, then upgrading to 9.1 from Apple.

FWIW I think both upgrades (to 10.5/10.6 and Logic 9) are worth it.

I think Apple recommended using 10.5 with Logic 8. As you already have Express 8 and are using it with 10.4, I'm sure you'll be fine with the full version too. Not knowing what Mac you use, I'd take Orren's advice though 🙂

I highly endorse Orren's suggestion... L8 was a very problematic release for many people, and with 9.x many things were made much better.

I run Logic 9.1 on 10.5.8 and have no issues 99.9% of the time. Weeks using it in session with not one cancelled or interrupted session due to Logic. That's a pretty good record.
