Logic Pro 9 Using notes in logic 9 for lyrics anyone?

I use the notes in Logic 9 for writing (working on) my lyrics. Does anyone else?
I switch back and forth between the notes and arrange window. And forget sometimes which window I'm in. There by screwing up entry in the note window. Any tips on avoiding this? No big deal just asking. 🙂

I really like Notes in Logic, but use them for procedural notes as I don't write lyrics.

Keep the Notes panel open. If you have different lyrics on different tracks, selecting a given track will reveal notes specific to that track when the Tracks tab in Notes has focus.

If you just have lyrics for the lead vocal, then you could enter the text in the Markers list. Lyrics within each Marker will appear in the Marker list as the song progresses.

I use the notes section for lyrics - I get involved in transcribing and creating lead sheets and I find it really useful to make reference to the lyrics inside Logic. I agree there is some confusion on the active window. I assigned a key command to open/close mine (notes window) so I can keep it closed unless needed.

You can create floating windows for elements of the Score Editor's part box. Try double clicking on the notes (for example) using one of the following modifiers: command, option or shift. Each will create a different shaped floating window

I used the notes area for lyrics for a while. I wanted to imitate some of what Masterwriter does. BUT .... I found out the hard way that if you accidentally select all and delete, or hit a key .... you CANNOT recover your lyrics with "undo." .... ouch.

I thought my arrange area was highlighted, so I used the keyboard command for select all and then bumped a key on the keyboard on my way to the mouse ..... lyric gone for good.
