Logic Pro 9 Varispeed artifacts in instruments with tempo change

I must be missing something here. I've recently had Ivory and now a guitar sample which give a tape varispeed "wow" when I applied a rall in tempo change. Not everything does it, but how to avoid it?

I'n not hearing anything other than fake fret noise when the note is released. I imagine that is the same thing with the piano... is it a thump sound you are hearing.

Thanks George. Sometimes talking it through solves the problem. I checked both instances again, and realised that they both have tape delay on them. It's this that's giving (surprise surprise) the tape vari effect.
