Logic Pro 9 velocity limit problem

my piano practice routine includes work with a min velocity set ( track parameter) set at 70.

This works well ( I'm at the beginning of my practice season🙂) but sometimes it works as though the limit is set much lower.

For example, I can get sounds when striking at velocity 43 this morning ( but not lower)

Any ideas why the min velocity seems to wander away from its setting?

oops. somehow the velocity had +27 added to it! problem solved - move along now... nothing to see here..
