Logic Pro 9 Vienna Ensemble Pro & Stylus automation

Hi All,

On the same MacPro, I'm trying to automate the volume of individual tracks coming from Stylus hosted within Vienna Ensemble Pro. My host sequencer is Logic 9.

Is there any way to do this with track based automation? I've only been able to do it with region based automation which is unworkable in that I'm scoring a project in which there are hundreds of regions.

Any help would really be appreciated!

thanks,

I plan on using VEPro for similar things in the future. I haven't had time to really sus out the VSL connnection yet beyond loading the instruments I need from VSL. I'd be interested in finding out though as I think this will be a popular technique, especially if you are using the 64 bit version of VEPro. It's on my list of things to get to.

I think you might be having the issue because you are only using a single channel on your controller. If you set it to midi channel one for your first part, and then set it to midi channel 2 for the second one, does that work?

Just a hunch...

You might have to use a real time transformer to re-channelize your cc7 info correctly.

why not bounce the stylus tracks into audio in logic, then you could
automate away and you're making your computer work not as hard.
