Logic Pro 9 View score for one part and record another?

How can I look at the score for one part and record another? Ideally, I want to look at, say the bass part in a page view, and record another part while looking at the bass part. Even when I create a new region in the Arrange window, as soon as I hit record, I can only see the track I'm recording on.

Choose the region so that the bass part is showing in the score editor, then turn off the link button. You can now record on another track and still see the bass.
