Logic Pro (X) Volume reverting to low

I'm having an issue I have never had before updating to 10.7.1 running Big Sur 11.6.1 where I create a midi track, which can be something as simple as Logics own Electric Piano and the volume is set to a reasonable level, but upon returning to the start of the track, when it begins to play back it is almost silent. This also happens with NI Kontakt. The volume slider is where it usually is to begin (around 80%), but when I rewind to the beginning it has dropped to maybe 10%. There is no track automation BTW.

Could you upload a simple logic project illustrating this behaviour?

I only recently upgraded to 10.7 and Big Sur. I discovered the problem. I was using a template created in 10.6 with Catalina which had instances of SSL Native 2 on each channel and this was causing each channel to lower the output volume. Why? I have no idea, but I created a new template from scratch and problem is solved.
