Logic Pro VU Level Meter Updates - Improvement?

Hello

I’m building a control surface to interface with logic pro x

The level meter updates over MIDI - Channel Aftertouch "0xD0" - seem slow and low resolution compared to what is displayed on the laptop.

Does anyone know how to improve this?
