Logic Pro Weird piano roll issue

In piano roll, when I dbl click on a note, a single line event dialog box opens, and the region jumps sideways. The event dialog box extends across screen. Why? With that event box open , I can highlight another note, and editing functions normally.
Did I unknowingly turn on some function ?

That's an expected and useful behavior.
