Where Can I Get "Vocal" Synth Plug Ins?

When I re-installed Logic 8 after a hard drive replacement, I lost some of the synth plugs in I had used. I need ethereal, somewhat spacey human sounding vocal synth plug ins. Any suggestions as to where and how I can get these. I've tried replacing the sounds with other synths and they just don't cut it. Thank you.

Which Plug-ins did you lose, and why don't you simply re-install them?

regards

Mark

Markdvc & George: The computer had a few issues that required me to take it into the Apple store for a repair. They chose to install a new hard drive as well as other parts to fix those issues. The plug ins that are missing are ones that were included in the Logic 8 program when I first installed it. Upon re-install which I had to do twice because at first only 3 disks would load (2nd time they all loaded) several synth plug ins are still listed but shown as "Logic Pro: Hybrid Mor. not available!" One of the ones I lost was Smooth Morph (still listed), another, Skye Breath with Breath Pad written on the actual track, is no longer listed. Thanks for replying. Peace & Blessings

Re: Your Reply

Thanks George but Garage Band is already installed and working properly. In addition, the Garage Band instruments are listed by category in Logic. Thanks

Which was installed first? I remember something about Garageband having to be installed first.

If you look into some older posts, there is a method that required using Pacifist to open the GB or Logic installer, and then what to copy where.

George...I don't remember even having to re-install Garage Band. I'll see if I can find the post(s) you're referring to and in the interim, I believe my Logic instructor had told me about a site to purchase plug ins...I'll see if I can find those notes. Between both things maybe I can get what I'm looking for. Thanks much. Peace

Well, I just searched a few forums, and they verify what I said in the beginning:

"To fix it reinstall Garageband:

Use the iLife DVD and run the installed.
Choose "Customize".

Tick "Garage Band Additional Instruments and Loops", and then click on Upgrade.

This should fix the issue."

Ifyou don't have an ilife disc, take a look at your factory installer disc, and look for Garageband in the "additional installations" folder.
